On Thursday, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) voiced his support for an investigation into “high ranking Obama government officials who might have colluded to prevent the election of [President Donald Trump].” He added how if it proves to be a scandal, it “could be WORSE than Watergate!”

Paul has yet to elaborate on who he wants to be investigated.
Paul’s tweet joins the chorus of Republicans who have become more critical of special counsel Robert Mueller, who is looking into the alleged collusion of the Trump campaign with Russia.
Republicans accuse the special counsel of being partial after it was revealed two FBI agent had evidence of anti-Trump bias. Fox News reported agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, who were having an affair at the time, sent more than 10,000 texts back and forth during the 2016 campaign.
Through their texts, they showed they had an extreme dislike for Trump. “God, Trump is a loathsome human,” Page texted. “Yet he many (sic) win. Good for Hillary,” Strzok replied.
